Limitations of Service
- Bandwidth Limiting
Most of our virtual/shared services do not impose bandwidth
limits. We feel that shutting your site down because you
have reached some limit isn't exactly providing a service
to you.. it's preventing service. The web works by users
soliciting requests from a server at their will. You cannot
know, and aren't expected to know just how much traffic
your site will require. If someone who hates you decides
they are going to keep downloading the same file from you
over and over, it could cause a DoS and shut your site down
if you have a daily cap. We deal with daily bandwidth limits
using advanced QoS features on our network equipment to
balance traffic and guarantee each customer uptime and fair
speed. Any abuse of service is dealt with on a case-by-case
basis as needed. If you are looking for somewhere to dump
large binary files to redistribute them to hundreds of people
a day, your actions will be seen and account suspended.
In the interest of fairness, all abuse is noted and tracked.
- Additional Domains
Several of our packages include the ability to add as many
additional domains to our account as you want, for only
$5 each. Please note that this fee simply covers setup and
maintenance of your site each month. No additional disk/e-mailboxes/vhost
accounts are provided for this fee. You would need to add
service to your account to take advantage of that. NOTE: This does not
include cost of the domain itself! We can offer that to you at our
standard rate of $14/yr
- cgi-bin Access, right

We believe that CGI applications can help make your site
much more interesting and useful, and thats why we include
it on almost all of our shared packages. Other providers
only give you a shared cgi-bin, with common scripts to play
with -- but we feel it's your right to use any cgi's you
want. The cgi-bin directory included with your hosting package
is just like htdocs. There are no limits, other than quota,
on what you can create in this directory. Through a combination
of technical limitations and communicating with our customers
we feel we have created a shared hosting environment where
customers have access to the tools they need, without interrupting
service to other customers. With all of this said, we retain
the right to refuse any customer access to their cgi-bin
if an incident occurs involving security or abuse. Any cgi
program which threatens the functionality or integrity of
our shared hosting environment will be removed, and the
customer contacted.
